True story of Amish boy who grow up in Oklahoma during the 1920's. In this memoir, Amos Yoder recalls plowing fields with horses and walking to his country school. In time he would leave the prairie— working in Civilian Public Service camps in Colorado, studying at Eastern Mennonite College, and working on a freighter.
Encouraged by his daughter, Dorcas Smucker, Amos wrote down his memories in the late 1980's for his family. This book was published for others to enjoy in 2016.
