I wear a 33"w/32"l pant and got the size Large, and it fits just about perfect for waist and length.The stretch fabric is great, and very lightweight. Can't comment yet on the ripstop ability but there is a small grid-weave that appears to be useful. The elastic waist-band and hook-style closure is pretty nice, I don't need to wear a belt around the house but out on the trail and with stuff in my pockets I do need a belt to help keep them up.My only complaint is that these are a bit baggy for my tastes for a trail pant. I have some thick thighs and calves and the pants could lose a couple of inches of material and still be loose on me. For thicker trail and outdoor use, this just means more material to catch on stuff, and honestly in a recent windy hike they were flapping in the wind and it was really annoying. But I imagine for a fishing or general use they may not be bad for some, if you prefer a baggier cargo pant.The bottom of the legs DO have an elastic drawstring cinch so you can cinch down the very bottom cuff around your socks and help prevent ticks and other items from making their way up, which is nice.There's also one unnecessary flap on the left leg, with the logo stitched on it. It looks like a flap over the other pockets, but there's no pocket. I guess it's a marketing thing but it's kinda annoying when you are looking for your pocket and grab this instead.
