The fit of the pants are very comfortableI have bought a half dozen different brands of this type of pant. Some Cargo, some not, and with the exception of one pair every pair was cut big. And these are no exception. Nice, well made, and fit well, but I ordered 30 waist, 30 inseam. My usual size is 32 waist 30 Inseam. As others have said if you are slimmer you want to order a size down in the waist. They thankfully aren't to long. And yes, the stitch across the knee is not appealing. They were trying to reinforce the knee? I don't think it will rub but I will post an update if I encounter problems. Very nice pants overall that are well made.Seems to help for warmth in winter outdoors, but once it gets up to 45 degrees they are too warm. Pants are "noisy" when they rub as you walk and I would prefer quieter material. I especially dislike the hook closure attachment above the zipper to close pants - doesnt hook and stay together well and I would prefer a snap or button/hole. The cargo pockets are great and the pants appear at least somewhat rain resistantYou can't order a length, only waist so mine are so long they drag on the ground. They're warm, comfortable, and they fit well. I will definitely be using them all the time in the winter.These are nice pants with two flaws: 1. They run large. My normal size is 31 or 32. That is what I initially ordered, and these pants were way too big. When I went down to a size 30, they fit well. 2. There is a seam across each leg - just above the knee - that constricts movement somewhat when you’re deep-bending your knee (see photo of knee bent). So if you’re going to be doing lots of climbing up steep trails/rocks in these, you may not be thrilled. But if you’re just going for winter walks and less aggressive hikes these will be really great. The fabric is high quality. The lining is warm and comfortable and the sewing is consistently excellent. These pants are well made. If the vendor added some tuck-pleats along the sides of the knees for mobility (like some hiking pants have) it would improve them greatly.Pros:- Very reasonable priced for such a well made pant- Nice material on the outside and warm on insideNeutral:- Runs a little big and baggy to my tastes, but at same time allows me to wear shorts underneath themOverall:This is are definitely WINTER pants. I plan to use these as WORK pants, even though right now they look so nice I do not want to get them dirty/ruined. For the price I am very impressed with the quality. Not sure I would wear these hiking as they are a little too baggy in the legs. I am a size 30, and the 30 fits fine, though if they offered a 29, I would get that one. But if I plan to wear shorts under neither it works out perfectly.
