It took about 6 weeks to get these broken in. They are very comfortable now, but it was rough the first few weeks.Ive tried them for 1st time for only one day. PROS: They are comfortable and overall heavy duty, i feel well protected. My job is concrete pumping.Nice thick cousion for good ankle support, and impact.Great support and traction on rough terrain over dirt, rocks, and wet smooth concrete. I love the big loop on back off boot to grab and pull onto feet, HUGE help. My other boots did not have that. And love the hole in lace hooks to string them through so they stay on the upper part of laces allowing me to keep laces a little loose for mobility and breathability.CONS: very hot even though not insulated, and composite toe. i live in florida its always hot here, lol. If they were steel toe it would be even hotter but they are not. Heavy weight. So far i would buy again but need more testing.I love keen boots. I bought this Philadelphia 8" non insulated boot to replace my year old Mt Vernon Keen 8", which has been discontinued unfortunately. The Philadelphias seem to fit nicely as expected but they are far too heavy and bulky in size for what I need to do. They weight 38.6 ounces which is pretty heavy for a boot worn in summer climbing trees. I really wish the Mt Vernons were available because they did the job nicely.I returned these Philadelphias so i can't honestly comment on their longevity. I would rated them a 4 because the construction, quality, and customer service of Keen is pretty good.Pay good money for a product you should back the product for a year minimally but no one seems to know. I love everything about the boot but it has a flaw 4 months after and can't get help. SAD THE WAY THE WORLD IS NOW DAYSI've worn them all. From redwings to milspec.Im very impressed with these boots. I've purchased them several times (over the last few years) and they always wear well right out of the box. The toes hold up very well for someone who kneels often at work. Tread is aggressive, but not so much that dirt sticks to them and you track it everywhere.I would say that they're water resistant so long as you're don't step in water above the toe. Obviously if you tromp around in water all day long you're going to incur water regardless. get some muck boots if that's the case. The only thing i will say is that they seem to run small. so order at least 1/2 size larger than your normal boot. This shoe is really good. I work in construction so I have to walk on sharp rocks, concrete, hot asphalt and so on. It has lasted really well so far. The waterproofing is amazing. This was a major concern to me when I was first looking to buy this shoe but it turned out to be great. I may be hard to believe but I have walked in water that reaches above to shoe and my foot still stays completely dry. Overall a really good shoe.Be prepared, these boots don't break in like normal boots. And if your not super careful you'll get your feet wet. The boots tongue is not fully sealed up the height of the boot( bad Keen). Other than that great work bootsI bought these because they haven't carried the KEEN Coburg for months. I needed to replace a pair. They're a little bit heavier, not much, and seem to run a little bit bigger than I'm use to. That said, they are comfortable stay dry as I wear them 12 hours a day. I'd recommend. This is a very comfortable boot with very good leather. However, even though I bought this boot on warehouse deals, there are a couple of negative things about it. The boot is heavy when dry ,when it's wet the weight is worse and it's not made in America. For the hefty price of a new boot keen should try making these in the USA where quality control is a lot better. Nevertheless, it is waterproof, it offers good protection for your feet, it has a wide toe box and it does not set off metal detectors, also, it seems well made and should last. If you're looking for a light work boot try ballistic nylon. I use this boot for three different jobs and so far so good. The best thing about it is that my toes don't hurt anymore. It was worth the money! The fit of the boot is a little larger than I expected but when wearing thick socks the boot is still comfortable .Construction of the boot looked good , had lace hooks most of the length of the boot which is nice for 8" work boots. Unfortunately fit was not wide enough for my foot and had to return them. The insoles seemed low quality (for the price) and should be changed if you need any kind of arch support. Keen k20 insoles work great in my current boots. The make quality is high (materials, stitching and glueing) but the sole is uneven creating pain in my right foot. I have never had this problem before and the shape of the sole on only one of the boots being uneven causes pain with extended wear periods. I put in a lot of hours walking and working outdoors and they are durable, but the waterproofing makes the boot not breathable so if you sweat from your feet this product is not likely for you for use in warm weather.I would not purchase again based upon the uneven footing and they are not enjoyable to wear in hot conditions.Update: after six months of not using the boot my foot pain had gone away but after one day of using these boots again the pain returned and rendered these boots useless. I will never purchase another Keen product again and highly recommend anyone considering to purchase these boots to avoid them at all costs. I have contacted Keen about the issue but have received no resolution. Horrible, horrible product.Build.of the boot looked good, but had to return as my sashquash feet were to wide for themGood work boot , comfortable
