These pants can feel a little stiff when new but the longer you wear them the more comfortable they get. I have had several pairs and they last a really long time.I’ve been wearing 5.11 tac pants at work for years. They fit great, the button and zipper fly is better than the button system from other pants and the Velcro pockets make life easy. These pants are very functional and have a decent amount of pockets for my things. They are light and comfortable to wear around town whether you’re doing hard labor or shopping around. Although they are tactical one can get many uses out of these pants. Im 5 9 and 295 and the 2 xl longs are perfect for me. I hope that helps with sizing concerns. These pants are similar to what I wore in Marines in the earlier 90's. No buttons velcro keeps the pocket flaps down. In the left cargo pocket there sub pockets inside. There plenty of room for big thigh to move in the seat and legs. They also have an elastic flex bands in the waist for abdominal movement.I have washed them several times no stain or fading.Pics to come.I'm not military or law enforcement, but I appreciate the aesthetic. These pants are meant to be bloused and come with ties built in, initially that threw me off. After watching a few youtube tutorials I was able to blouse the pants properly which results in a very clean professional look.My initial reaction was to admire the craftsmanship of the pants. It's obvious a lot of thought went into the design and manufacture. Expandable waist, reinforced stitching, pockets for days. Seriously, every pocket has multiple pockets and I'm pretty sure those pockets have pockets. Everything that I put in there; knife, padlock, labels, flashlight, markers, etc, finds it's way into a interdimensional pocket where it is organized and secure. I never have to fish around looking for things. It's really quite amazing.I bought the pants for work, the fabric stays cool(temperature wise), looks cool, repels all the nasties I come into contact with. Crawling around on the ground, working on my knees. The pants brush right off and look like they just came out of the laundry.Nothing but good things to say. Wish I was law enforcement so I'd have a reason to buy the expensive Class A uniform pant.Initially discovered the 5.11 brand with one of their non-metallic adjustable belts. Which I love and own several of.Been wearing 5.11 for many years...and this model to me has the best design pocket style, waist band features. Little stiff but will soften over time if you wash them in your own machine! If sizing helps I usually wear a 36/38 waist x 34 leg in jeans.Love these for comfort and durabilityThese TDU pants are perfect for just about any activity. I wear them to the range, hiking in cool weather, working in the shop, and camping. The seams are all incredibly strong and the pants flex wonderfully while on strenuous hikes. They breath pretty well, especially for being such a rugged heavy material. The ties inside each pant leg keep the pants snug against my boots without looking tacky... in fact they aren't noticeable at all. Belt loops are wide enough for a duty belt and the waistline is very heavy duty. This comes in handy for occasional winter hikes when I wear suspenders. The cargo pockets are deep and reliable! I can throw gloves and a hat in one pocket without it being too bulky, and never worry about the flap coming undone or losing them. The reinforced knees come in handy while camping, and is a must for those doing bushcraft or any sort of tactical training.Long story short, these are awesome pants. The fit is comfortable, and they come in plenty of size options.. inseam, length, waist, ect. They aren't heavy in weight compared to many other brands either!Great productVery impressed with these pants. I brought them along on a back country expedition and they worked great. The waist is extraordinarily comfortable, and the fabric is tough and water resistant (which came in handy!). They're not the lightest pants, but I needed something that would stand up to abuse as I explored old mining sites, and these worked great. If you're looking for lightweight long distance hikers these aren't for you, but for someone like me who needs to get down in the dirt and dig they were a very good option.I bought the Long size because they were cheaper, but I did need to get them hemmed quite a bit - they were very long on my 32" inseam.Guess this new ones now aren't the same quality ..you're just paying for the brand name!Sad .. model 74003 (i just bought few week ago) used to tougher and heavy.I Thought this one is? Based on the item description..BUT ..guess what? its the same! No difference.IF YOU still can find " Blue Tags" ? Buy itThese are my go-to pants for my work at Paramedic Services. They fit well. They wash and wear incredibly well. I've washed them A LOT and they still hold true to colour. Will continue to buy this brand and style.Beautiful quality and overall built. Be very careful with size chart. I chose Medium ( I am size 34) but pants were really a 32. I ordered another pair, size Large. Hopefuly those will fit. Otherwise, high quality product.
